Purpose of CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal
The CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal is specifically designed to cater to the genuine claims of depositors who have invested their money in various cooperative societies under the Sahara Group. These societies include Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd., Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd.
Refund Process and Amount
The CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal will disburse up to Rs 5000 crore in phases to depositors. During the initial phase, each depositor can receive a maximum of Rs 10,000. The first phase will involve a trial basis refund of Rs 10,000, with potential increases based on its success.

The refund portal is open for approximately 1 crore and 7 lakh investors, allowing them to claim up to Rs 10,000 during the initial phase. Among the eligible depositors, there are a total of 4 crore depositors who can claim up to Rs 10,000. To make a claim, depositors must ensure their Aadhaar is linked to their mobile numbers and bank accounts. Additionally, deposit receipts need to be provided. Claimants will be required to download a form, fill it out, and re-upload it on the portal for further refund processing.
